Our Military Kids® is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering extracurricular activity grants to children and teens of deployed National Guard, deployed Reserve, or post-9/11 combat wounded, ill, or injured Veterans in treatment. OMK activity grants build the children's self-confidence, enhance family wellness, and strengthen a shared sense of community.
In early 2023, we surveyed military families whose children received Our Military Kids activity grants in 2022. Respondents from our Deployed Program and Combat Injured Program reported an improvement in:
Ability to Afford the Child's Chosen Activity (Combat-Injured Program)
Child's Mental Health (Combat Injured Program)
Family's Overall Well-Being (Deployed Program)
Service Member's Morale (Deployed Program)
A Nation where children of our deployed National Guard, deployed Reserve, and combat-injured service members know they are valued and can pursue their passions.
