The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Our Military Kids, Inc. web site. If you submit a donation online, our site will receive your name, shipping address (if you enter it), and email address, in addition to the amount donated. Our Military Kids does not collect your billing address or credit card number. Any information you choose to provide us, including name, address, or e-mail address will not be shared. We only use return email addresses to answer the email we receive, and for inclusion in the mailing list for The Briefing, the Our Military Kids newsletter, and the Quarterly Donor Update (for those who have given a minimum of $1,000). We also provide a postcard with your name and address to the child receiving the grant so that he or she may write to thank you for your gift. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
We care about the safety and security of your transaction. We use the services of Network for Good to ensure a secure transaction. Network for Good uses high-grade encryption and the https security protocol to communicate with your browser software. This method is the industry standard security protocol, which makes it extremely difficult for anyone else to intercept the credit card information you send to us. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We use industry standard encryption technologies. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to improve our communication to you. We may have links to other sites. These sites have their own privacy policies, which we urge you to review before providing any information to them.
