Linda Davidson and Gail Kruzel are the Executive Directors of Our Military Kids, Inc.
Both were previously associated with a nonprofit organization that contracted with the Army Community and Family Support Center for a pilot program to develop and implement a support program to assist the families of the deployed. Working with deployed military families, Gail and Linda realized that more could be done to recognize the sacrifices the children of deployed military are asked to make and support the specific needs of these children.
After the successful completion of the pilot program and subsequent award of a follow-on contract for full implementation of a communications and mentoring program, Gail and Linda decided to devote their full time efforts to the development of Our Military Kids, Inc., to make a difference in the lives of military children.
They are committed to ensuring that children of Reserve and National Guard military have the opportunity to participate in sports, fine arts, and tutoring programs during periods of their parents’ deployment and recovery from severe injury. They believe that children of military should be encouraged and recognized for doing the right things during this time of uncertainty by maintaining a focus on school, staying active, getting involved in rewarding activities, and coping with the challenges the absence of a parent brings.
Gail and Linda believe that forming partnerships with the corporate community is an effective way to bring the Our Military Kids grant program to military children and to show them the country's support and appreciation.
