Ambassador Rozanne L. “Roz” Ridgway

 

Roz Ridgway served 32 years in the American Foreign Service, was three times an Ambassador, Counselor of the Department of State, and capped her career as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Canadian Affairs.

She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Emerson Electric Company, the Senior Living Foundation of the American Foreign Service, and the Washington  Institute of Foreign Affairs. She is the Chairman of the Board of The CNA Corporation, an Alexandria- based  studies and analysis organization.

In retirement, she was President and Co-Chair of the Atlantic Council (1989 – 1996) and a Board member of several Fortune 500 companies and not-for-profit organizations, including Boeing, 3M, Sara Lee, Verizon , Manpower, and the National Geographic Society.  She was founding Chairman of the Baltic-American Enterprise Fund and the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation. Ms. Ridgway was elected to the National Women’s Hall of Fame in 1998.
