The Honorable Jan M. Lodal
Jan Lodal is chairman of Lodal and Company. His business experience includes founding two computer software companies (Intelus and American Management Systems (AMS), now merged with CGI), and board involvement with several early-stage technology companies. Under his leadership, AMS developed new financial management systems for New York City and other states and cities. Mr. Lodal also designed and developed computer systems for numerous major hospitals.
He was Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy in the Clinton Administration and served in senior Pentagon and White House positions during the Johnson, Nixon and Ford Administrations. His publications include The Price of Dominance: The New Weapons of Mass Destruction and Their Challenge to American Leadership, “The Logic of Zero” and “Assuring Strategic Stability” in Foreign Affairs; and many other articles on national defense, arms control, organization management, and software development.
