Mrs. Diane Jones
Over the past several decades, Diane Jones has made significant contributions to the US Armed Services, with particular emphasis on the US Marine Corps, and as an advocate for individuals with disabilities. Mrs. Jones is the wife of General Jim Jones, the former National Security Advisor and former Commandant of the Marine Corps.
Mrs. Jones is a strong supporter of military families and volunteerism and serves on numerous boards to improve the welfare of the military family. Mrs. Jones is the recipient of the US Marines Corps League’s prestigious Dickey Chappelle Award presently annually to a woman who has made significant contributions in the interest of the USMC.
Mrs. Jones is a strong advocate for individuals with disabilities and has dedicated much of her time and efforts to improving the quality of life for disabled individuals. She has developed an expertise in this area which has led her to testify before the Congress, lecture at the graduate school level and to serve on the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities.
Mrs. Jones holds a BA from George Washington University and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from George Mason University.
