Memorial Fund Created to Help Military Children Play Baseball

McLEAN, Va. – November 22, 2011 – Our Military Kids, a nonprofit organization, has created the Fred Smith Memorial Fund to honor the life and work of the former Chairman of the Board of Directors, who passed away on November 10 after a three-year battle with cancer. Money generously donated from family and friends will provide grants to children of National Guard, Reserve, and Wounded Warriors so they can play baseball, which was Smith’s favorite sport.
